Thanks for the apartment, it was most enjoyable staying there.  We used it as a base to visit lots of places and thoroughly enjoyed our stay
The location of Mossel Bay is very good as a base for visiting the surrounding areas.  Some days we had trips out for the whole day where we went to Knysna (very good), Plettenberg and Monkeyland (worth a visit).  We also combined a visit to Oudtshoorn with a short trip into the Karoo.  The trip through the Swartberg Pass was stunning. 
We also went out for half days when we stayed more local.  We found that it worked well to sunbathe in the morning and travel out at lunchtime.
We liked the town of Mossel Bay and found the visit to the Post Office Tree and Museum very interesting.  . The various beaches between Mossel Bay and George were lovely and so few people on them.
 
The apartment had everything we needed and more and it was really good to have such an excellent location and to walk along the beach in the evening.

Our beach option package is held at the Point Hotel which has a lovely holiday atmosphere, offers good value for money and is situated in an idyllic position on the rock . The Mossel Bay, Protea Hotel is located in the centre of town with great sea views. Popular beach hotels are The Diaz Hotel and the Garden Route Boutique Hotel.
